Nigel Shearing is the creator of Into the Light Experience.

His fascination for pianos has grown into a wider journey of discovery, creativity and self-expression. He explores ideas of memory, transformation and the unexpected.

A Curious Boy was born from this journey. He represents the playful, curious part of ourselves that asks questions, follows wonder and isn't afraid to try new things. Into the Light invites connection with this through sculpture, storytelling and conversation.

Pianos are at the heart of this work. He is drawn to their beauty, structure, history and voice. Every instrument carries traces of lives they have touched, and endless inspiration is found reimagining this into new life and form.  ​

He hopes this work encourages others to pause, reflect, create and perhaps rediscover something of their own along the way.
